Do you have old or expired medications sitting around the house? It's time to clean out those cabinets and make your home safer! Bring your unused medicines to the Drug Take-Back & Health Screening Event on Saturday, April 26, 2025, from 10:00 AM to 2:00 PM at the Claremont Police Department.
This free community event is hosted by Keck Graduate Institute (KGI) in partnership with the Claremont Police Department and the DEA. It's a safe, responsible, and environmentally friendly way to dispose of medications—and there's more!
What You Can Bring:
- Expired or unwanted prescription and over-the-counter medications
- Controlled and non-controlled substances
- Liquid medications and IV solutions
- Inhalers (aerosol or dry powder)
- Sharps like syringes, insulin pens, and lancets
Proper disposal helps prevent accidental poisoning of kids and pets, keeps drugs out of our water supply, and reduces the chance of medication misuse.
Free Health Services On-Site:
In addition to drug collection, KGI’s pharmacy students will offer:
- Blood Pressure Screenings
- BMI (Body Mass Index) Screenings
- Overdose Education
- Free Naloxone and Fentanyl Test Strips (available to anyone interested)
